PHP Developer

We have a vacancy for an experienced, full time PHP / MySQL developer in our new offices in Bromsgrove. Prospective candidates require a good understanding of web programming, object orientated design, database design / SQL, MVC. Knowledge of Javascript, Subversion/Git, VB, Delphi, Mobile Apps and servers would be a bonus but not essential.

This is an ideal position for a flexible and talented developer with at least 3 years experience looking to join a growing innovative software company on a competitive salary plus pension, bonuses and other benefits. In addition, with our successful Lone Worker products, an increasing interest in mobile Apps and an expanding client base there are real prospects for this role to grow.

With a strong product range and a dynamic sales team we have had a very successful year having won work with new clients most of whom are prestigious, national and international organisations whilst maintaining a steady stream of work from our long term UK customers despite the current climate.

The ideal candidate would appreciate the effective use of their talent on a diverse range of products that we offer but built on similar technologies for consistency. He/ she would have an interesting and varied role including maintaining, and enhancing our current products as well as exciting, new developments for orders we have won recently including an option to work on apps for iPhone, Android and other mobile platform.

Your role would be supported by the team and Managing Director and report to the Team Leader who, being a software developer, would also act as your mentor. For the right dynamic person there are real career prospects in the business.

We are an expanding organisation with strong financial backing having grand prospects with its product range, looking for dedicated individuals who are able to work efficiently, and problem solve with their own initiative, but having the support of the team of experienced developers.

Requirements:-

• Educated to college/university level with experience of the following:-
• Good Knowledge of software development, Database design in any SQL system
• You will also be able to demonstrate the following general skills:
• Understanding of general software engineering principles such as Object Orientated programming, modular code design, version control, reuse and
  maintainability.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Team skills, and knowledge sharing.
• A committed approach to your work, in particular when working to deadlines.
