Overview

LoneALERT is a simple to use but comprehensive packaged solution that will ensure lone workers are fully covered and employers are meeting their health and safety obligations to their staff.

It can be set up immediately - your lone workers could be protected within an hour of you calling!

LoneALERT protects lone workers as they attend individual appointments or carry out solo site visits, or as a regular check in based system whilst they are on working alone. LoneALERT also offers as standard discreet panic features for when lone workers are in a threatening or dangerous position.

TRACKING option adds either GSM or GPS locating technology to LoneALERT - find remote workers quickly and easily in the event that they raise an alarm with geo-locating.

MAN DOWN option constantly monitors and ‘learns’ from lone workers movements to identify when movement patterns are out of the “safe envelope” profile– either lack of movement due to incapacity or extreme movement such as in a fall from a ladder/roof or traffic collision.

In addition to our mobile based solutions, the ANYWHERE option is available to protect lone workers in areas where no mobile signal is available.  Using phone applications (“Apps”) and dedicated hardware lone workers are required to check into to the LoneALERT system periodically to confirm their safety.  Failure to do so will raise the alarm and provide location information.

We are more than happy to provide a free trial of our products and due to the simplicity of their operation are happy to guarantee that we will be the lowest priced solution available.

The product is fully comprehensive and benefits from ultimate flexibility. If you require a specific feature or system integration our LoneALERT development team can build this in to your specific requirements.

TRACKING can be combined with LoneALERT to offer an increased level of protection for remote and lone workers. Using either GSM cell triangulation, or proprietary GPS hardware on the phone, or a dedicated device, LoneALERT updates the location of the worker to a map in your account on the LoneALERT web site.

MAN DOWN is particularly useful for people employed in manual or dangerous labour or those who work for long periods of time alone. Using modern mobile phone technology MAN DOWN is configured to track and learn the typical safe working profile from the movement of workers. When a motion pattern is outside of the safe working profile then the alarm is raised to LoneALERT. LoneALERT's MAN DOWN option monitors both excessive motion as well as lack of movement.

MAN DOWN has several safety measures built in to not only reduce false alarms but also ensure that assistance is called when a worker collapses in an environment that contains excessive noise, vibration, traffic or heavy machinery.

LoneALERT, TRACKING and MAN DOWN are designed to mimic rather than dictate existing working practices.  We at Advance IT Group Limited have the experience and skills to assist with implementing a lone worker policy from new and we can assist with guidance on best practice for escalation hierarchies, lone working procedures and compliance with health and safety requirements.

LoneALERT for vulnerable people

LoneALERT is absolutely ideal for elderly or vulnerable dependants, the LoneALERT timer setting can ensure that relatives are given piece of mind that the vulnerable person is safe and well whilst the panic alarm can alert neighbours, carers or family members when the vulnerable person feels unsafe or has an accident. Additionally, MAN DOWN can provide constant feedback on mobility – advising when a possible fall or accident has occurred.

Legal Requirements regarding Lone Workers

Managers have a duty of care to their employees with new health and safety requirements. This is best explained in a publication by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as quoted below:

Employers have responsibilities for the health, safety and welfare at work of their employees and the health and safety of those affected by the work, eg visitors, such as contractors and self-employed people who employers may engage. These responsibilities cannot be transferred to people who work alone. It is the employer’s duty to assess risks to lone workers and take steps to avoid or control risk where necessary. Employees have responsibilities to take reasonable care of themselves and other people affected by their work and to co-operate with their employers in meeting their legal obligations.
