Maintenance

We offer an extremely flexible maintenance service for your IT equipment.

We will respond in person to any IT issues you have. We can also provide support over the telephone should the problem be minor. Response time is dependant upon severity of the issue.

Many annual contracts charge you a set-fee no matter how few problems you have. Advance IT Group support is purchased in blocks of hours and parts are charged for at a cost matched price so that you only pay for problems that actually occur. We don’t charge you to insure against potential issues that may never arise.

Remote Support

An extremely efficient and cost effective way of having a back-up IT support service.

As our engineers don’t have to leave their desks we cut out the time and expense of someone coming out to you.
We simply provide you with a pin code which sets up a secure connection with your system allowing us to resolve issues. Purchase remote support in blocks of hours and when you have a problem we just ‘debit’ the time we spend on your system against your hours.

Should physical presence on site be required, we offer call-outs at a discounted rate from our normal tariff.

Application Service Provider

The traditional way of running your companies software systems was to buy yourself a big server, link all your PC’s into it and have your system contained within your business.

This might be re-assuring to have your assets where you can see them, but it is also expensive. Each server needs a back-up drive, fail-safe power supply, it needs an annual maintenance contract, it will need new parts as they fail. Also, all of your business data is kept in one place. If you are burgled, you may have a back-up of your data, but the original data is still in the hands of someone else. If your staff are not totally switched on to cyber threats then viruses/hackers can invade your system. Individuals PC’s can also develop problems through misuse, or people downloading harmful content inadvertently.

Many businesses are doing things differently now. Broadband speed has enabled the advent of Application Service Provision (ASP) or Software as a Service (SaaS).

ASP or SaaS takes a lot of the headache out of running your IT. Your software is housed on a secure server that you can rent or buy at a data centre. All security, back-up, maintenance and anti-virus procedures are managed by the data centre, which has downtime of only 8 minutes a year.

Users access the system via a secure connection using thin client and Citrix technology, wherever they are in the world. This means the facility for home/remote working is achieved purely through opting for an ASP solution.
Both the initial and ongoing costs of an ASP solution compare extremely favourably with a more traditional network system as the cost of the initial hardware purchase is minimized, and the ongoing costs of support and maintenance are removed.
